Foggy

2008.02.06
*DRIP!*

Little bit of fog by the creek.

And a little bit of dog by the creek.

Raindrops: Nature's Bedazzler. :p

More fog on the creek.

Beav on the "beach." We didn't get nearly as muddy today as we had been getting.

Big mossy rock.

New bridge, old bridge.

One of the many cardinals I spotted today.

Beav's been working on the railroad, all the livelong day.

Airborn doggie! Yes, he is tresspassing, but at least he's not dumping. He gets pretty good clearance for a little guy!

Mockingbird. I'm such a dork. I tell the birds "thank you" after I take their pictures.

More airborn doggie. And more reason I love my camera. I couldn't get an action shot for nothin' before.

The creek. Hard to believe it was bone-dry most of the summer. Last year at this time, it was frozen solid for another month.

Beavis on the trail.

Fog in the park, looking towards the Little League field, with The Big Church in the background.

More fog in the park, looking towards the trail and creek.

The fog seemed to get thicker as the morning went on. The park, nicknamed The Bog, is in a bit of a gully, and the fog just lays there. Notice the "no motor vehicles" sign, and the tire tracks. People really pay attention to those signs. It's really annoying how the trail is getting chewed up by quads, wearing away the path in parts, and small trees and branches being knocked over.

It was so ridiculously warm this morning! I started off wearing my lighter winter jacket and gloves, because it was so damp and raw looking. First the gloves come off, and before long, my jacket is tied around my waist. And I was still over-heating. And I liked it. :D

I heard robins, and saw buds on the wild forsythia. Also spotted many cardinals, a few bluejays, some hawks, and loads of the typical crows, mockingbirds, chickadees and sparrows. It felt and sounded like spring, with the creek roaring, the birds chirping and my feet making squishy noises.

debbyfaye It's been foggy off and on like that here for a couple of days. It's eerie, isn't it? I really like the picture with the cardinal. His color just pops, doesn't it?

Merrit Your pictures make me sick! :D In a good way. I wish I could get such good shots with my camera. I need an upgrade! Beav always looks like he has such a great time on his walks. And he really can jump high and far for such a small dog.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of camera do you have? I know you just recently bought a new one.
