Beautiful clear skies, and my sick co-workers are all back on the job, so I got to get out at my normal scheduled time today to enjoy the weather. Unfortunately, I'm getting sick, but I'm still fighting it. I have to hold off until tomorrow, anyway. I'm not missing payday!
In funny work related news, I ended up getting battered and bloodied by a Chihuahua last night. He was just in for a nail trim, but those fresh trimmed nails are very sharp! He reached up to try to paw the muzzle off his snoot and scratched me across the cuticles on both hands. I didn't realize it until I was about to take him back to his owner.... whoops! I'm bleeding!
It's always the little ones that get you. I have scars from a 10 week old kitten from my SPCA days, one on my wrist that looks like a botched suicide attempt from an 8 lb Italian Greyhound, ones that look like a werewolf attack from a Beagle mix named Cuddles -- more sharp fresh-clipped nails, a bite scar from a Pekingese mix I almost adopted, and one from my own Beavis when he snapped at me when I only had him two weeks. He's snapped since, but never again broke skin. Knock on wood.
I only have one visible scar from a big dog, and that was from a Lab Pointer mix who broke a nail and was too freaked out to let anyone check it.
But I'm rambling. For more Beavis vs the Frozen Soccerball, there's a
video on YouTube. He sounds like a monkey!
