But wait, there's still more fun in the snow!

2008.02.24
Finally! I've been trying to catch the sun sparkling, and I finally did it.

"Help us, we're mellllttttinnnnggg!"

This blob of ice amazes me. It's bigger than a pear, bigger than a REALLY BIG pear, and just dangling by the thinnest little thread.

Just making sure he's not getting into trouble while I'm snapping away.

Another "finally!" moment. I've been trying to capture the sparkles in the ice, too.

They look like little hats.

And I love how the blue, blue sky is reflected in them.

What I love even more? BUDS! Signs of spring to come!

And what I love the most: a happy, happy dog.

Pekingese footprints in the snow. Even his tracks are waddley.

Beavis with a Donald Trump combover. "You're fired!"

Icicles on a neighbor's shed.

Upside down Gypsy.

Copy"cat" Beavis.

From the afternoon walk. I love the colors of late afternoon in the winter.

Walking off into the sunset.

Icicles on a rosebush.

Little sparrows.

"No, I don't have a problem with snorting snow. You're the one with the problem, lady."

Going uphill on the way back from the park. This gets really slippery this time of year. Beavis is an all-terrain vehicle, though, and can power up the hill like a tank.

Yay, home! It's funny how chubby he looks in some pictures. He's really a lean, mean biting machine. :p

It was "warm" today, all the way up into the lower 30s. The sunshine felt wonderful. But some idiot [that'd be me] took off her sunglasses, because it was too hard to see to take pictures with them on, and got a wicked bad headache from the glare off the snow.

I kept them on for our 2nd walk.

LastFrontier Beautiful close-ups, and great commentary. Oh, and, of course, wonderful Pekingese. Love the waddling tracks in the snow. They do get us outdoors in all sorts of weather, our pups.

Merrit I always look forward to seeing your pictures. :) Nothing like Beavis' whimsical hair to end the day. You must tease his tail...It has it's own personality.

Beagles3 Beavis is an amazing little dog. He is so happy when he is out with you on his walks. Just the happy faced boy!

I love all of the snow ice shapes. They are just so freaky when you think of what it takes to get them into those shapes. The melting and icing dance that must go on over the hours. Very interesting.
