First Dandelion!

2008.04.17
Leaf cleanup in the park. Those are all bags of leaves.

As a "collection of leaves," Beavis still thinks of them as "trees" and, well... you can guess what he does when we walk past them.

Above the creek. Recent flooding over the past year and a half has washed out the banks quite a bit. The drainage pipe didn't used to be quite that visible.

Sun reflecting in the creek.

The rosehips on the wild rosebushes are still hanging in there. They look even prettier with leaves on the bushes. I can't wait til they bloom. It smells heavenly.

A really ratty looking squirrel along the trail. Yikes. I wanted to catch him and put some Revolution on him or something. Poor little guy.

The rooftop sentinel.

Back home, dining at Lorina's All You Can Eat Buffet.

This squirrel is obviously not suffering from the same affliction.

Little sparrow in the tree.

And another sparrow on the fence.

The tulips are opening even more today. The gardening theme was a little too early for me. ;)

Nope. I still don't call this purple.

But it sure is pretty!

Bee on my (not yet blooming) azalea. The ones that are mostly black like this are NASTY!!! I zoomed for the picture. I wasn't about to get close to him.

Woohoo! First dandelion I spotted, right by the corner of my house!

Then I turned the corner into the alley and saw number two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and dozens more.

Poor Beavis has to go to the vet tomorrow. He's due for vaccinations, plus has a little wart on his hip (I call it his buttlump) that might be infected. So tomorrow will be "take your puppy to work day" for me. Cross your fingers he doesn't embarass me, acting up in the kennel while I'm working.

Mr. Longtongue.

I'm getting spoiled by the weather. It feels like mid June, not mid April. I'm loving it, but I have to be careful exercising Beavis in warm weather. With the flat face and heavy coat, he could overheat easily.

I bought more flowers & plants today. (Full price, too! The shame!) Some petunias for my hanging baskets and window boxes, and some cilantro, basil and one tomato plant. So... yeah. You're going to be seeing more gardening pictures over the next few days. ;)

Beagles3 So will the pictures of Beavis on a walk slow as the weather heats up? That will be sad..... He looks so majestic in his poses!
