Lazyboy. Don't mind the rug. I need to vacuum, but I didn't want to wake sleeping beauty.

Petunia. I was experimenting with the other settings on the camera, and I like the results.

My non-ornamental garden. One basil, one cilantro, and one tomato plant. Until the frost threat is over, I'll keep them on the porch where they'll be covered.
I'm so optimistic about the weather... see the snow shovel in the right hand side? I'm not putting it away just yet. You never know.

The windowboxes. I'm sure what's in there now will die out before summer's over. When it does, I'll replace it with portulacas. Or however it's spelled. They do great in the hot sun.

Black cat. Hot day. Sunshine? I can't for the life of me figure out how she doesn't spontaneously combust.

Beavis went to the vet's today (aka, to work with me), for his booster shots, yearly checkup, and to have his buttlump checked. He does have an infected sebaceous cyst, so he'll need to be on antibiotics and have it cleaned twice daily for a week. Oh, the fun I'll have with that.
But otherwise, everything checked out ok. He gained two pounds over the past year, and it must be all muscle because there's no fat on him at all. Well, maybe a pound of it is the increase in his tail hair length.
Since I got out early today, I spent the rest of the afternoon gardening. Beavis spent the rest of the afternoon being lazy. Too much excitement this morning for him, being kenneled while I was at work. I'm expecting tomorrow to be very lazy day for him. His Lyme vaccine always zonks him out for a day.
I love the flowers in your garden. Such beautiful colors. Beavis does look a bit spent in these photos. I like the mix of Flora and fauna with dog and cat mixed in! Beavis is such a handome guy.
Ooh, I love the water droplets on the tulip. Gorgeous. And Beavis looks so deeply contemplative--it's hard to believe that very little is going on in that canine brain of his.
