It's time to play... Name That Bird!

2008.04.29
Weeeee! I caught the little windmill spinning!

April showers... bring really, really, really green grass!

Love on the rocks?!

Grafitti on a pile of landscaping pebbles near the baseball field. It just kills me that someone would grafitti a heart. Yeah, we got some real badass criminals around here.

The mystery bird. A titmouse? Young cardinal? I'm not sure. I never saw the red on the wing and yellow tips on the tail on a titmouse before.

There were dozens of them nibbling on the apple blossoms. It was a wonderul site to see.

I got a lot of buttshots, though.

I love the composition, but wish the lighting were better. As it is now, it's the Witness Protection Program bird.

Little bunny foo foo was out and about today.

On our way home from the walk, the above bunny was hiding in the brambles under a wild rosebush.

Was it just two weeks ago I was so excited about the first dandelion? Look at them now.

I like the stray little seeds floating away on the left.

At least with the rain, I haven't had to water my plants. And my half-price clearance pansies are doing better than the ones I bought at full price.

No new kitten pictures today. He's doing well, but still too timid to get any good shots. We're thinking of naming him Pippin, after one of the Hobbits. I've been calling him Pipsqueak, but given my track record with cats' sizes, the name will not fit him long.

Between bottle feeding the kitten, buying kitten supplies, work, and taking care of Beavis, Gracie & Gypsy, I'm wiped out. I am glad I took the time to go for a long walk with Beavis this morning and take my camera along. It was a little dark and dreary, but I would have missed some wonderful sites if I'd left the Canon at home.
