That's my Funday, my I don't have to run day...
2008.05.04
Mr. Pippin. He seems so much bigger already, and we've only had him a week!
1
Fergus looks way bigger than Pippin, but they weigh about the same.
2
Wrestlin' in the bathtub. It's a safe place for them to play.
3
"Grrrr! I'm Ferocious!"
4
Fergus gets the upper hand.
5
Pippin, a ball and a monkey.
6
I don't think I can fit any more plants in my garden right now, so I just need to enjoy the ones I have.
7
Bleeding hearts.
8
They remind me of the girl in the Wendy's logo.
Great. Now I'm craving a Baconater.
9
I love moneyplants. I'd love them more if they were real, but they're so easy to grow. They self-seed and spread like weeds, and they bloom early.
10
Ants on a dandelion.
11
I didn't want him to feel neglected, so Beavis and I had to play.
12
It's not quite fetch. It's more like... I throw the ball, he runs after it, carries it off a few feet, then rolls on top of it. When he rolls sufficiently away from the ball, I go get it, call him over to me, and throw it again.
13
Beavis wants to assure everyone that real men do play with pink toys.
14
He carries himself with such grace and dignity.
15
And he needs his teeth brushed. Getting a little tartar on the molars.
16
Superclose!
17
This one makes me smile. He looks so happy. If only he was that happy to see me when I don't have a ball in my hand. ;)
18
Singing. "Rooroooooooo!"
19
And all tuckered out. It's hard to believe I just mowed the lawn last week!
20
Pippin shows off some of his white spots. There's one on his throat, one on his chest, and one on his belly, plus all four paws are white.
21
I can detect the faintest of tabby stripes on his body.
22
Their eyes are getting greener.
23
Fergus is still a bit more timid than Pip.
24
He's unbelievably soft and fluffy.
25
It's hard to take kitten pictures indoors without a flash. They move so much, they're all blurry. But I liked this one because he looks so much like a Mini Gypsy.
26
See? It's like we fastforwarded Fergus a few years! I hope I'm able to tell them apart.
27
Sure, I didn't get done half of what I wanted to get done today, but sometimes, taking a nap on the couch with two kittens asleep on your chest matters more than errands, dishes and cleaning.
The little guys started purring. Pippin yesterday, and Fergus today. They're still a little wild and scared, but they're starting to realize that petting = good, and looking for affection and attention.
We still haven't caught the others. I saw Mamacat today, and got within a foot of her. She's young. She doesn't look any older than 6 months or so. I don't think she's totally feral, or I wouldn't have gotten as close as I did. She's scared and hissy, but was very intrigued by the crab and tuna feast in my hand. I think she'd be tameable, but you'd need to earn her trust first. Not just a grab-n-go sort of thing like with the little ones. She's small, but a young small cat could do a lot of damage with claws and teeth. I have the scars to prove it.

The kitties are so sweet, I never get tired of looking at them. We need video! :) I love Pippin's white spots.
Oh those babies are just too adorable. I want a kitten!!! I love your close-up on Beavis. He has such charm and is so debonair!! Look forward to watching the kitties grow.
Wow, all of these are awesome. I love those bleeding hearts, and the shot of Beavis in what I call the "obscene" position when the Bunting does it. Hilarious.
