My planned photos for tonight didn't happen. :(
Davy Jones of the Monkees, my childhood crush, made an appearance at an event downtown this evening, but stupid me didn't think he'd be the first act of the event, and showed up late. I was just leaving work while he was performing on public square.
I haven't seen Davy since the Monkees' 20th reunion tour in 1986, when I was 14 years old. I even wore my 1986 concert tour tshirt, which actually fits better now than it did when I bought it. I fill out a tshirt a little better now than when I was 14. Thankfully!
But if I have to wait another 22 years to see Davy again, he'll be 85 years old. :p
He actually lives in Pennsylvania, about 2 hours from here. He's been spotted shopping in a Lowes in that area. Lowes. And Davy Jones. That would be like a dream come true for me. If there's one thing I love more than Davy Jones, it's home improvement stores! :)
