Advent calendar

Many Austrians have advent calendars in their homes during the month of December. Andreas is standing in front of ours. Each day (December 1-24) has it's own little pocket and it's tradition to put a poem or a portion of a story and a chocolate inside. I put candy and a Bible verse in the appropriate pocket each day, and Andreas excitedly anticipates the part of the day when he gets to reach inside and open (and eat!) his little gift.
