Playing with water

Ok I realise that cameras, strobes and water are not a good mix but this was kinda fun to do. We found an old fish tank (without fish of course!), gave it a good clean and then set it up on a white background. Wont tell you how many times the FaTmAn and I had to drop the objects in to the water to get an image but suffice to say it was lots!!

Edit
Cherax noted that the exif data doesn't show up. Not sure why that is. So here is a little more info:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Tv(Shutter Speed): 1/125Sec.
Av(Aperture Value): F8.0
Metering Modes: Evaluative metering
ISO Speed: 100
Lens: EF70-200mm f/2.8L USM
Focal Length: 110.0 mm

The way we did it was to hold the object above the fish tank, count down from three to one and drop the object. Then it was a matter of timing to get the shot. No fast bursts just pure timing and luck :-)

Cherax Very stylish. I never did get terribly far with shots like these.
No exif data visible here, but I guess you've used the 1D to get a fast burst rate. That first one is very speccie. Where the flashes firing on burst mode too? I guess your units on a stand could keep up.
PS don't we call them flashes rather than strobes over here?
