Not feeling too inspired or motivated to be creative today.

This is a tree we planted in our yard about a year after we moved in (8 yrs ago). It was meant to grow fast and shade the play structure it stands in front of. Yeah right... the kids will be in college by the time it's fully shaded. The tree has changed a lot though. The bark was perfectly smooth when it was first planted and as the trunk has expanded, the bark has crackled and split. It's a Cinnamomum Camphor and stays green all year which is nice. So there's your free botanical lesson of the day ;)
