Violin scroll

2008.02.19

Our violin teacher has been in and out of the hospital lately.
We are so hoping she gets well soon.
We are absolutely, positively, not progressing without her.

For now the violin just sits there.
I'm lucky if I remember to hound D into practicing.
He's keeping up but we're kinda on hold indefinitely.

I got the idea for this entry from this wonderful photo found here: http://www.photoblog.com/brutewilliam/2008/01/31/
It was taken by BruteWilliam.
His photo is amazing and I need to keep working on mine.

kellgell K that is seriously one of the best pictures I've seen. It's got great depth and your exposure looks perfect!

MHJphotos I agree that this is a wonderful photo. I love the richness and saturation along with the shallow DOF. Being a horn player (i.e. no STRINGS attached!) I can still appreciate this wonderful scroll work! ;)

Kellie Great shot, K. Coming from a fellow violinist. ;) Tell D to keep practicing!

Fouraces what a shot! Perfect macroing and along with the great "music shet" (spelling) as background

Chelle Y. Great picture. I am sorry the teacher is sick. I have always loved the violin. I would love to learn how to play it someday too.
