So many sweet comments on my photos.
I want to say thanks for taking the time to comment on them.
I see so many great photos on all of your blogs and I love seeing what everyone shoots day after day.
It's inspirational.

I LOVE taking photos.
I 'see' photos everywhere.
Everything & anything can be a photo to me.
I especially love photographing people (hi kids!)
I have loved taking photos for years.

My dad gave me my first film SLR right after I was married (17 years ago) because he heard me talking about how I was interested in taking photos. It was a Sears camera. He claims not to remember this now. lol! (Hi Dad!)

I took a b&w film developing class at a local college 16 years ago because I was fascinated with taking photos.

My favorite part, right now, is the editing/post-processing.
I really, really LOVE the editing/post-processing part.

(See photo above)

So much so, that my dream would be to find a job where I could edit photos for hours on end FOR MONEY! lol
But I'm one out of a million people with the same desire.

I really believe my photos are pretty average.
My photog friend Alien (who takes great photos!), http://planetalien.blogspot.com/2007/09/let-talk-about-my-photos.html
explained this once before... it takes tons of attempts to try and get one good photo.
Once in awhile, I'll get a photo rooc (right out of camera) that I'll get excited about.
That's not too often.

So I take hundreds of photos.
Usually of the same thing.
Just trying to learn.

I have the utmost respect for self-taught photographers.

I take 99% of my photos in manual mode.
I play with aperture & shutter speed & ISO & white balance.
But still, most of them turn out average.
So playing in Photoshop can change so much of that.

I'm also very lucky to have a photographer friend that is always open to learning anything new about photography (Hi Tracy!) She cracks me up and has great ideas: http://www.tracywburgos.typepad.com/

So that's my thing. That's what I do...
I take hundreds of photos.
I fiddle with all kinds of settings in manual mode.
And I spend hours in photoshop. (just ask my poor husband).

Thanks for visiting and keep taking photos so I can continue to be inspired!!

amagala How i understand you!!
I love photgraphy the way you do, only, i fancy more shooting "things" than people, except for my familly; I'm having "troubles" with my husband for spending so much time on the computer...
Recently, i ordered some big size prints of what i consider my best shots and i'm trying to sell them. If it works OK (i really hope so...), i will continue, if not...

focussed So nice to read this post and find out what makes you tick! You know, the beauty of digital SLR's is that it doesnt matter how many shots it take to get it right! You just keep going....and every failure brings you closer to learning a lesson :).It is always one big constant lesson.
Dont give up on your dream either....there may be a million others with the same dream, but how many will actually strive to make it a reality?

Tracey You do a fantastic job presenting your photos. It doesn't hurt that your subjects are so beautiful, either. =)

ambersunsets Very kind words. I love your photos, especially your portraits. I just have a point and shoot right now. But as I improve, I will work my way up to an SLR. Thanks for sharing your passion with us((:

kellgell Honey if you spend hours in photoshop you really do need to get CS3. You'll spend even more hours in there. LOL.
And this photo is fantastic! Love those eyes!
