Family Days...

So we started this thing this summer that one day a week (turned out to be Sundays) is the day J & I say "no".

No, you can't have a friend over. No, you can't go to so-&-so's house. Our house is usually filled with activity and filled with kids or it is devoid of kids because they're at a friend's house.

We wanted one day that it was just us. It's turned out to be a really good thing.

Nobody asks/begs for friends on Sunday. They just expect it to be all about us. So as not to torture the kids, we usually go out & do something different. Tonight it was the driving range. The last few weeks have been horse racing, swimming, movies, harbor biking, dinner at the beach... And the kids are actually getting along & (gasp) playing together!

Tonight... the shot I really, really wish I would've gotten was the one where oldest's golfclub went sailing in the air and landed about 30 yards away out on the green. You should've seen the look of horror on his face when he said... "MY HANDS WERE SWEATY!" Thank God nobody was injured ;)
