L.A. Seminar

So on Monday, my friend Tracy & I drove to L.A. to listen to some amazing photographers speak.

Wow! It was so much more than I'd expected.

It was a photography seminar called, The Total Truth Tour .

Each photographer spoke for an hour (except for Me Ra... she spoke for 2 !!!)
It was a small, intimate venue with Q&A available as well.

We listened to Robert Evans tell us how he books the celebrity weddings (he shot Tom Cruise & Katie Homes' wedding!!). He was an awesome speaker and man do I wish I got a photo with him! You can just tell he's a great guy.

We heard Carlos Baez from Miami speak about lighting and he absolutely entertained us with his sense of humor.

Sara France (famous for her Apple sponsorship) showed us how she is able to take her career with her anywhere.

Dane Sanders taught us all the importance of goal setting and being real. He was an amazing speaker and so personable, warm AND talented. I won a free copy of his book, Fast Track Photographer and got it signed.

They all shared some info with us about a website called Photography Mentor which is a great place to go and ask questions. A lot of info there for all of us photographers dying to learn more.

Later in the evening, we had a women-only discussion with Me Ra Koh where she inspired us women to get the things out of life that we want. She is such an inspiring person as well as an amazing photographer.

I'm so glad I went and that I've got a photog bud to accompany me, even though she won a Shoot Sac and didn't even KNOW WHAT ONE WAS!!! but I'm not bitter... not too much. (Ok, that's a total lie. I'm harboring seriously bitter feelings towards her right now.)
