Sweet M

Every couple of Fridays I have the pleasure of spending the afternoon with three lovely, little ladies.

These little girls are too sweet and being able to listen to their adorable chatter is a privilege.

It's a glimpse into innocence. So carefree, so happy, so uninhibited.

Some of the things I heard today...

"I look so pretty!"
"I love your blonde hair. I wish I had blonde hair."
"I know... my hair is so pretty."
"Can I help you with your laundry? I want to push the buttons."
"I don't want to touch the underwear though, even though it's clean."
"Isn't my outfit beautiful?"
"Can I have some fig newtons? My grandma has those and they are SOOOO yummy."
"That is my and my family's favorite Christmas song. We all sing that one all the time."

And lots and lots of Christmas carol singing at the top of their lungs, in the car, on the way to gymnastics class.

I think one of the best ways to experience "pure" joy is to spend an afternoon with children.
