Oh wow thanks so much for this great tip Loto! Now I really oughtta give this a shot with the kit & fifty. And I'd thought you've gotten a 100mm macro for these! They're awesome! I'm guessin matchsticks, seashell, garlic?? :D

Great trick. I don't have a fifty lens. I agree with Shiqin on 1 and 2, but I think 3 is wheat.

WOW!!!! AWESOME macro shots. I would have thought these were taken with a real macro lens. How come you've never shared this trick with me before?? I don't have a kit lens though, I wonder if it'll work with the tamron.

Wow, I knew there were adaptors for that trick, but you hand-held the 50 and still got a sharp picture?

I'd say one is a match and two is a seashell - but no clue about number 3! :) What is it??? This sounds like a great idea for taking macro shots...

LOL Hobbes! When I say "use your feet to zoom" I mean, walk forward & backward to zoom since the lens is a prime and actually does not zoom!

Very very clever of you Loto! :D I love the end result - the first one is brilliant. I am dying to own a proper macro lens myself - when I have the money, that's where it'll go :) Very very well done.
