I love photography as an art form.
I am particularly interested in portrait photography.
I love catching beautiful shots of people's faces.
But, my #1 reason behind my love of photography is being able to freeze moments in time of my childrens' lives. I love having memories of my family's experiences saved for all of time.
I am self-taught :)

I loved this post.
Your words were wonderful.
My oldest just started high school and I can't stop thinking about him leaving us. It makes me sad.
Thanks for this post :)
well, from one mother to the next, its hard at first, but as time goes by, you learn to cope in your own way....just cherish the time you have with him now, and no matter how independent he acts, they really do want to have family time with mom and dad...:-) thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Thankyou for your guidance. I will have to relearn my shooting to be sure I allow for cropping. Your logic makes perfect sense to me. Thanks!!!!!!!

Oh Karen! How wonderful is that?
I think they will cherish your photos forever. It was great of you to do this.
Will your photo get credit with the article?
I think this photo captured so much emotion~!
Thank you for your kind words. I don't know if I will get credit or not. We'll see.
I enjoyed doing it. I used my 50mm lens. Question for you - do you tend to shoot the "close ups" a little farther off and then crop them? I find that I tend to cut people's heads off just a bit and I am wondering if I should shoot them just a bit farther away and then crop it in post processing.
Thanks again for your kind comments.

Congrats on FP!
She was bold and aggressive and a joy to watch. It's been a while since I could do that pose!
