cycling across Ukraine in summer 2006

1st photo- On the way to folk festival in Sheshory in the mountains (Ukraine). Cycling across Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland was unforgotten experience ;) Some times we used trains. It was in summer 2006.

2nd photo- 20km after crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border meeting honest and friendly local town people ;)

3rd photo- above Sheshory village and a charming landscape.

4th photo- typical colourful house in Ukraine... all hauses are painted in rainbow colours and I am not joiking! It shows the people' spirits who live inside ;) Poverty doesn't mean boreness and violence but friendship and hapiness of small but important things.

5th photo- on Sheshory festival with Couch Surfing and Hospitality Club travellers


6th photo- it's not a saloon.... it's a local train!!! so huge and very cheap and friendly passangers and inspectors!

7th photo- The hospitality in Ukraine doesn't have borders ;) Local people giving us water, home-made soup and specialities, letting us wash and giving a frindly spirit for the way ;)







Now I am cycling by collapsible bicycle and hitch-hiking with a bike aswell. First I am going to Portugal to Ecotopia across Germany, Frtance, Spain and then to Africa ;)
