I was cycling in Morocco till almost Ouazzane having
interesting time and landscapes. I cycled around 330 km from Malaga where I stayed for 3 days. On the way I was
sleeping in the Riff Mountains and then I was invited
by local guy Mohamed to spend 3 days with his Family high in
the mountains. After I continued cycling and the
drivers of two vans stopped asking me if I want a
lift.... I wanted to cycle all the time and go to Fes
then to Khemisset and so on but I decided to go with them just
after I noticed their warm hearts and free wind traveller
spirit. So since then I am hitch-hiking and we all
crossed many interesting places having a lot of chill
out time on the lakes, rivers, in the mountains, with
Berber family in the village Ait Labbes, on the
dessert, dunes, Gorges du Ziz valley, Gorges du Todra
valley during 6 days. Now we are staying in
Tinehir for 10 days waiting till two vans are
reconstructed and fixed. Then we are going the
Atlantic directions. Someday I will separate and continue cycling in Morocco heading for Mauritania, Mali and Senegal... maybe more.

You asked about malaria prevention, when Enzo suggested a good mosquito net. Also found out since that an herb called sweet annie (artemesia annua) is a good prevention against malaria and parasites. Hopefully you don't need it since the mosquitoes might not be so bad now, but if you ever require it and can't find it, let me know. I would be happy to send it to you.Claudia
