at the end of the 19th century an artists' colony was born in the area of the former Epreskert (Mulberry Gardens), a public garden of mulberry trees on the outskirts of Pest
in 1879 the city council donated a parcel to a renowned sculptor who was in need of a suitable studio. later a large rectangular block was divided into ten lots for ateliers. the plots were leased by the municipality to sculptors and painters (needless to say, good political connections played a larger part in obtaining a lease than artistic merits)
several houses of the colony were destroyed during the siege of Budapest in 1945. at present the house on the very first lot belongs to the Russian Embassy, some lots were sold to developers. the northern side of Epreskert now belongs to the Hungarian University of Fine Arts where its painting, sculpting and intermedia departments are located

This looks like a great place to wander about with a camera! I like division of the fist shot a lot... but that pile of body parts is really intriguing, especially with the fence and house in the far background.

voltam fenti címen, ha megengeded mégis idetenném a hozzáfűznivalómat. pillangó a bibén, szitakötő heréje, kutyaszar zöld legyekkel, villanyoszlopos táj - én nem írtóznék egyiktől sem. mindezt lehet jól is rosszul is. nem lehet leszögezni hogy a lila naplemente gázabb mint a cigányember kérges kezének közelije fekeke-fehérben ... tudjuk a hogy minőség nem ebből ismerszik meg. megyek, ha lesz egy olyan transzparens is: LE A MACSKASAPKÁSOKKAL !!

i am not sure lately what to make out of your posts. you are clearly trying to achieve something with them; as expressed in your category name "report"; but they often are so matter-of-factly that it's hard to see what you are hitting at; here i am fascinated by the decaying, or rather "broken" figures in an environment that seems rather uninterested in art or even art repulsing; and yet this place is pictured not as a rudiment but kind of waiting for a better future... what are you trying to say?

Beszélő képek, és elhallgató szavak - az első benyomásra itt, és most túlcsordulok! Megnéztem a "csatolmányt" én is, és nagyon várom a szépről való elmélkedést, akár a fotózás, akár az úgynevezett "csúnya" apropóján, akár írással kapcsolatban! valaki egyszer azt mondta, hogy a csúnya a jó "formája"! ;-) Itt,a bejegyzésben pedig izgalmas együtt látni különböző egyedek törekvését mindarra, hogy megismerve valamit, továbblépjen! Valamit, ami részben belül van, másrészt körülvesz, vagy "kivetül" (?).Nekem a műemlékvédelem is egyre inkább arról szól, AKI alkot(ott), AKI él(t) és belehal(t), AKI üzen azzal, ahogy összerakta, kialakította, megélte.... és most egy új generációt formál - miközben már porlad - , hallatlan koncentráltsággal! Szóval remek a post! Csak ámulok - míg elmulok! ;-)
