WOW. There are no adequate words to describe just how incredible this shot is. And what an effort to get it! I love lighting shots, but am too afraid of the lightning to actually go out in the storm. This is probably the most incredible shot I've seen on Photoblog. Naturally it's added to my favorites. I'm always so happy when I see you've added another entry, because I know I'll be in for a visual treat. Absolutely gorgeous.

Fantastic other wordly shot. Kwik and cats generally just sense when atmospheric changes are happening. Weren't you worried that the lightning might strike your tripod?

Congratulations Madoc! This shot, as with many here before me, went straight to my favorites. An absolutely stunning image. What I love about the image, is it appears to have very little touch up done to it. Just a wonderfully long exposure, with a fantastic location and some amazing atmospheric conditions. This is just like a scenere from Star Wars! Looks so futuristic, the building like a spaceship, the purple sky, and of course that perfectly exposed flash! Unfortunately, I did not understand the text (who is Kwik?), but what can I say more anyway... I just save it to fav`s!

Quel oiseau de nuit ! Et de plus tu défies la puissance de la nature lorsqu'elle se déchaîne ! Ma fois tu as bien choisi l'endroit et les deux éclairs se sont gentiment placés au bon endroit, il y a même la réflection dans l'eau ! J'ai toujours raté mes photos d'orages. Excellente capture, pas facile à faire !
