This certainly almost brings a tear to my eye. When I look at my son, I hope he never has to endure this. I truly understand what people mean by wanting to be able to substitute themselves for their children in order to take the pain, disease and death upon themselves.

Powerful words my friend! I have sometimes thought what I would do if I was ever to lose one of my senses. If I was blind could I still enjoy photography? Or if I was deaf would I still enjoy music? Deep down inside I am afraid of what would happen. But in reality I know life will always go on.
yes, you said it all... life would in every case go on. I think most of us has asked these questions at least once. thank you for these great thoughts:-)

Thank you for those words. I think a child's curiosity can sometimes reignite our own. But your question is so intriguing. Adults rarely do anything completely out of there own curiosity.
thank you makaid for this honest answer... I was wondering why actually noone answers that question. I`m sure your son will reignite your curiousity too, actually, looking at your photographic work, you seem to have a huge portion of curiosity already :-)
