Day 33 - Transforming Frisbee

This cake was a group effort. My mom made the cake and while she was away, she asked if we could help with decorating. Justin came in and decided to forfeit in round one. Josh hung in there for a while, but then it was just mom and I (forgot to mention, mom came back in round 3) racing against the clock to get this transformer cake decorated in time. :) Picture taken by my mom.

So while we were waiting for pizza, we decided a game of "nighttime frisbee" would be a good idea. As you might guess, it ended as shown below. I naturally volunteered to get it, since I see those opportunities as mini risk taking adventures. We were doing all this on the down low, since we knew my mom would not be keen on our acrobatics. Needless to say, she came out to see us doing this: *picture taken by mom

Since I was up on the roof, or at least half of me was, I didn't know mom had gotten her camera. This is what was going on below. Yup.....left hanging.

He decided after a few minutes that he would like to reconsider and help me out. :)

Josh had his birthday party a week or so ago, but my mom couldn't make it to his birthday party, so Josh got two birthdays. We went over around 3pm. Josh loves going to my mom's house and both the boys are in love with her cooking. I don't cook that bad, but she has got me topped. Josh had requested my mom make him a cake since she had the previous year. We decided on Transformers (optimus prime to be exact). She had to leave before she could finish decorating it and left us in charge until she got back. I don't think it turned out that bad considering...
So we did enjoy some frisbee and ended the night with pizza, cake and ice cream!
It's funny, I've noticed that I've been doing a lot more culinary things these past few months.
