I don't have a release cable...so I thought I would jump at the last minute....I'm not sure if this is going up or coming down..but it was fun.

After my client meeting I took a quick walk around the book store and found ELMER. He seemed to be reading up on some pretty serious illnesses. *hope he's ok.

Well I did go back home today. I have not read the book that the title was taken from, but I can image that it was meant in the sense that your home is never the same as it was when you were a kid. Everything changes. This is something I know but sometimes have a hard time with. I like my scenery to change, just not so much the people. But maybe home isn't the house where you live now or the home in which you grew up. Maybe home is symbol for the people that you feel the most yourself around and safe and loved. This could be biological family or people you've sought out in your life. After all, your physical home is just hard wiring and knick nacks (some of which remind us of things, others that just look pretty).

Just beautiful! great portraits captures! Great set Heather, now did you have some help or were you on a timer?
This is a great set, particularly the self portraits. In a world full of contrived portraits with fake smiles, these are so relaxed and full of personality. Your innovative perspectives are really refreshing and we've thoroughly been enjoying your posts. Oh, and great pick on Garden State- love the movie and the soundtrack.
Really really lovely set! The self portraits are wonderful and all of them are quite nice in their own right. You are so right about home. It really IS the people that make you feel safe and comfortable.
