Albany Experience

2008.04.08
The "Million Dollar" Staircase! - in the Government Building.

Looking up!

Looking down!

A corridor near the "Senate Chamber"

The State Senate Chamber.

The State Assembly.

Assemblyman Rubin Diaz, Jr. and Senator Rubin Diaz, Sr!

A stack of "Bills that will probably never see the light of day!"

PS 107x Assembly in session! :)

The Senator, me and the Assemblyman

In the New York State Museum was this single car from an old "A" train! (sadly, I remember these old trains)

There was a 9/11 exhibit with recovered debris (see below)

...and a recovered burned fire truck

An antique carousel that has been recently restored and is in operation.

View from the window.

I joined the 5th grade and their teachers on a trip to Albany, New York (our state capital). The 2 1/2 hour bus ride was worth it. We took a tour and were lucky enough to have a question and answer session with the school's local Senator and Assemblyman (who happen to be father and son) in the State Assembly.

kimauman You look very natural 'hanging' with the Senator and the Assemblyman! :)
Politics could be in your future--after all you deal with naughty children all the time...what could be more similar?
I thought your shots were very well lit--hard to do in old government buildings. Kudos on numbers 7 and 21. The kids look completely absorbed in the moment. Good work.
