Don't Miss:Cities with high car rental costsPizzeria Delfina Burlingame opens2014 Nissan Versa Note SLDiaz: 10 Christmas wishesFive thousand, three hundred and sixty miles away from home, on a soccer pitch in front of fans polite enough to stay until the end of an extremely dull game, the 49ers finished the first half of their season in dominating fashion. They unleashed the , beating the Jaguars 42 10.

In England, a team like Jacksonville would be relegated, sent to a lower division, no longer able to compete with the big boys until it gets its act together.

Not to take anything away from the 49ers, who fired on all cylinders Sunday, but this much hyped, far afield game didn't tell us anything we didn't know. The Jaguars (0 8) are very bad. The 49ers (6 2) are very good.

At least, we think they are. Truth is, most of the 49ers' first half success has come against teams that would be in danger of being relegated in the English football system. The 49ers' finest performance was their first outing. Their victory over Green Bay on opening day was their only win against a team that has a winning record. The 49ers lost, in decisive fashion, to the other two teams with winning records they have played, Indianapolis and Seattle.

But, as and the say, all you can do is try to beat the teams on your schedule. And, for the most part, the 49ers have done that.

They also easily survived the NFL's ill advised push to be a global entity. apparently thinks that exporting lousy NFL teams to a world class city somehow makes them world class products. Over the years, the NFL has sent abroad the winless Dolphins, Buccaneers, Steelers and Vikings and now, the Jaguars. It seems odd that a league that ostensibly is concerned about player health and safety thinks that traveling to another continent to play a game is a great idea. Goodell must be an extreme Anglophile or have a William and Kate fetish.

On Sunday, the most audible cheers came when the lowly Jaguars kicked a field goal and when a fan ran onto the field. The British have long been supportive of both underdogs and esque nitwits. And they don't mind American football. They especially like all those breaks in the action, which means they don't have to resort to the EPL style of beer buying: seven at a time. But had you flipped the channel to Chelsea Manchester City on Sunday morning, you would have seen what true English sports passion looks like. And Alex Boone Jersey Elite it wasn't what was happening at Wembley.

Still, the trip seemed to be fun for the 49ers. The players got a chance to try out their football English style skills at Hotspur. The trip gave a chance to trot out his Churchill knowledge. And also to perhaps be touched with a bit of the English obsession with magic. In a KNBR radio interview from across the pond, Harbaugh called "mystical," as though he were Merlin or Dumbledore. Gore, who scored two touchdowns Sunday, is clearly the key to the 49ers' success. It took until Week 4 of this season for Harbaugh and offensive coordinator to remember his magical powers.

But the real bonus of the prolonged sightseeing trip: getting to play Jacksonville, by far the weakest team in the NFL.

The 49ers now have a bye 49ers Alex Boone Jersey week to rest after their Goodell induced travel. They appear to be well poised for the second half of the season, with Colin Kaepernick in top form, Gore running well and the potential return of .

Still up in the air are the returns of and , arguably the team's most important offensive and defensive players last season. The drumbeat to get them both back is slightly disturbing: Rushing rehabilitation for either physical injury or psychological issues is not a wise idea, but it's the currency of the NFL.

In the second half of the season, there will be no patsies on the schedule. The 49ers will face tougher opponents, including Seattle, the Saints (6 1) in the Superdome and Washington in a Monday night game in Landover, www.officialauthentic49ers.com/75+Alex+Boone+Jersey+Cheap.html Md.

The road ahead is tough. But at least the 49ers got to fly over Greenland and experience Greenwich Mean Time to find out what they already know: They're a lot better than the .
