Digg Effect Analysys

So the first set of two images if a general overview from the day before the digg frontpage and the day of. As you can see we have a pretty good steady flow of visitors throughout the whole day. What I really like to see is a lot of return visitors. Also what surprised me is how many asian and european users we have. Then you look on the digg day and you notice a large spike when we hit the front page and most of the users were new users. Then you also see that most digg users are american which kind of shocked me, more so since the story broke at around 8am EST.

Then the next set of pictures, you can see most of our traffic is from direct users. This can be people that bookmarked us or typing the url directly into the browser. Then we get close to 40k hits over the day from digg. Our little server really held up to the traffic too.

The next set you'll see the tech difference in our normal users vs digg users. As you can see IE rules the day with our user base right now. Then when digg hit most of the users are firefox users.

The last one is just a bar graphs of traffic throughout the day.
