All kids do that all around the world, same hand game ! well... a nursery rhyme... lets see :)))) Dododo ich-mwen dodo Dododo ich-mwen dodo Si ich-mwen pa ka dòmi Gro djab-la ké vini pran'y That's the first that came to my head.... I guess they wanted to be sure that the kid would sleep as it says : Sleep my child, sleep, if you don't, the devil will come and get you !!!! Terrible song ! Most of the song I knew as a kid were traditional french nursery rhymes like Frêre Jacques... as at home we were not allowed to speak creole. Now I fight for the language that is part of my culture :)

Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick sick, so she called for the Dr. to come quick, quick, quick, the Dr. came with his bag and his hat and he knocked on the door with a rap, tap, tap. He looked at the dolly and he shook his head, he said miss Polly put her straight to bed he took out his pad for some pills, pills, pills I'll be back in the morning if she's still ill, ill.

One of ours is: Sing a song of sixpence, a pocket full of rye four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie when the pie was opened the birds began to sing.... Wasn't that a pretty dish to set before a king? The king was in his counting-house, counting all his money the queen was in the parlor, eating bread and honey The maid was in the garden, hanging out the clothes.... When along came a blackbird and nipped off her nose!
