MY SUMMER OF SORROW
2008.08.08
On August 2nd my mom went home to be with the Lord. She had lung cancer for 3 years.she was a wonderful mother, and person. On friday my dad called and said I should get there as soon as possible, so my husband and I was on a plane within an hour of that call! We arrived in N.J a little after midnight! Went directly to my Dads. Arrived at his house at 1:30 a.m. Nothing could have prepared me for the shock of seeing my Mom in the condition she was in. She couldn't move, her eyes were closed, so I held her hand and just told her I loved her a million times and kissed her hand and head! Every time I talked she would gasp! My Dad said she was recognizing my voice and was getting excited. That morning at around 5 a.m she was in the presence of Jesus! My Family said she was waiting for me to come before she left. it was by far the saddest day of my life, but I know she is no longer in pain! I will miss her dearly!!!

..oh Mindy I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother...as I read your words the tears came...yes, my dear, she waited for you to come..God Bless you and yours...she is with Jesus now...love and peace to you and your family...

i know that this is hard... i never ever want to know how that feels to lose my mom ( you!) we will get through this together.. tats what family is here for... just say the word and i will do whatever you need. i love you so much mom!

Although some go before us, we'll all meet again, inside the city, where love knows no end, there be no more parting, with Jesus we'll be, together forever...Gods family. I cried when I read this, and I am sorry your loss. but, we have an eternal hope through Jesus Christ our Lord, of seeing our loved ones again!!! Praise God.

So sorry. You have the wonderful assurance that she is in a better place, however, she left a void here on earth that no one else will ever fill. I'm so sorry for you and my prayers are with you. P

Mindy, I'm so so very sorry for you loss. This was a beautiful tribute to your Mom. I lost my Dad in Jan, and kindof know how you feel. I'm thinking about you and will keep you and your family in my prayers.
