A good friend of mine told me about the Applewood Estate in Flint, Michigan. It is a breathtaking estate in the cultural center of Flint. So, I decided to gather my camera, lenses, and other accessories and head northward on I-75. I had a very pleasant afternoon enjoying the apple trees, flower gardens, and tasty treats. And, it was all for FREE...
Applewood Estate was the home of the late Charles Stewart and Ruth Rawlings Mott Estate. It sits on 34 acres with beautiful gardens and other greenery. Applewood is open to the public several times throughout the year. Check out its website, http://www.ruthmottfoundation.org, for the schedule for the rest of this year.
