This was the view that greeted us' when we woke on the morning of the third day. This bridge carries Highway 101( The Coast Route)

I waited on the upper deck to see the pilot boat pick the pilot. A helicopter took the pilot off. In the picture the pilot has just reached the helicopter.

When we woke up on the thrird day the ship had all ready docked at Astoria, Wash, USA. Astoria gave us a real welcome. On the dock there was a craft fair, free buses took us into the town center. The arrival of a cruise liner is a big even for the town coffers and this small town appreciates the travelers.
