This is the Umana Yana - a national monument in the country. It was erected by a team Wai-Wai Amerindians, one of the nine indigenous tribes of Guyana. It's built like one of the Wai-Wai shelters found deep in the interior.

Hi my fb friends - i'm back in Guyana for a few days for work . This is always an interesting place to visit . Guyana is the only English speaking country in South America and is surrounded by Venezuela,Brazil and Suriname. It's the only Caribbean country that is not an island.
