Quick Trip to Brazil

We only had to travel about 20 miles for a quick taste from the south of Brazil.

Cai parenha (?) is made from alcohol derived from sugar cane. It reminded me of a Tom Collins.

Cheese bread...so tasty!

Fried bananas--never had them before, but definitely a great addition to anyone's food repertoire.

The gauchos wielded their knives very quickly, sometimes causing the three of us "novices" to jump aside, allowing them room to carve.

Mashed potatoes in any language are all sorts of yummy...

My sister (Dancing Dolphin) and our guys went to a great new place called Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse. My guy is from Sao Paulo and wanted to share some of his culture with us. Meat, meat, meat! Such a fun and memorable evening--and having eaten all that meat caused some very interesting dreams last night--something about camels in my living room. What a great evening!

Camels? ha ha This does look like a fun night. I don't think we have any Brazilian restaurants in Washington. We're missing out! All of the pictures look so yummy, if only we could taste them too. I wonder...fried bananas & PB?

Hey good set! It WAS fun! I checked out the drink online as soon as I got home... must make some time.... it's Caipirinha! (I got a good shot of Carmo and the knife wielder.)

Looks awesome! Heidi's not quite right ... we DO have a Brazillian steak house in Seattle that I've heard from multiple sources is fantastic! Looks like you guys had a great time!
