Today was my grandson David's first birthday and a party was enjoyed by many to celebrate a year rich with transitions for his parents...and the survival of said transitions for us all. There's nothing quite as fun as the customary "baby cake" in my humble opinion, and the afternoon was a fine reminder of the fact that THIS is what life is all about!
