Hey that thing in your first shot is the plant in my living room! I call it a "pencil cactus"..... they grow along the roadside in Hawaii very much like sumac here in MI.... also poisonous apparently. Cool place, nice close up shots, I like the pattern of the second one!

I'm with your sister...I have the pencil pod in my living room too. It's so big it's about ready to kick me out. I've tried growing those hairy ones but they always die. And I had the last ones in the yard when we lived in FL. Nice shots all.
