El teatre romà de Mèrida fou contruït entre el 16-15 abans C.
L'escena és de marbre amb elements ornamentals i decoratius. Tenia una capacitat de 5.500 seïents de granit. Derrera existia un pòrtic, amb jardins i una capella de culte imperial.
The roman theater of Merida was built among the 16-15 bC.
The scene is from marble with ornamental and decorative elements. It had a capacity of 5.500 seats of granite. Behind there was a portico, with gardens and a chapel of imperial cult.
