I just want the world to know that the public transport services in Kuala Lumpur suck.

S-U-C-K, big time!... especially the rail services, and especially the KTM komuter service.

These are pictures taken at various times when the services were interrupted, which are very common. I can bet my **s that there's never any problem free week (5 working day). Missing train from its regular schedule is normal. If Demitri, cikina and myblindeye are regular commuters, they should agree with me. Personally, I have experienced reaching home at 10.00 pm a few times, whereas my usual journey only takes less than 1 hour. I get out of the office at 6 and if I drive north, i could already be in Penang.

While the service is bad, there is another worse thing compared to it, and that is the lack of apathy from the service provider. People complain everywhere, the local newspapers write about the bad services but there seems to be no improvement. When major problem happened and then highlighted by the public, they always have answers and promises, but they don't have improvement. Once the answer given on why the train is delayed is because there are large number of people boarding. A lot of people getting on causes the train to be late? That a good reason? Didn't you calculate your stopping time when you draft your schedule?...

And regular commuters now should also noticed that when they make announcement about service interruption, they never apologised, they only say thank you. Top that for a lousy service!

I have no kind words to KTM. Thank you, not!

naebegirl hehe... thanks for sharing this! One, it gives warning to the world (thank you!), and two, it shows the interruptions of life that can be so frusterating!!! I really like it.

demitri hey friend, great post, sounds like you really pissed off!
even though i use KTM services once in a while during the weekend i feel the same thing about you, especially KTM SERDANG. i have to wait for a stupid long queue to get my tickets, (2 counters but only 1 open, what the hell!) till i get mad ang get myself a Touch "n" Go.

Jannie I love my car all the more after reading this! As much as I am a fan of public transportation, I am SO grateful not to have to depend on something as frustrating as this!!

carmitage I can understand the frustration, but everybody seems to take it very
calmly ! Everybody also seem to conform to the rules, I am impressed

Thank you to the KTM for allowing you to get such great pictures !
(I can tell you London is not better, with bad weather on top !)
