Pasar Malam; literally means 'night market'. Google it, and thousands of pages will appear!

Go to any part of Malaysia, on any day; you are guaranteed to find one. A portion of road will be closed to the usual traffic and stalls will start to appear by 3.00 or 4.00 PM. It will be in full swing at the hours between 5.00 and 9.00 PM and stop at around 11.00 PM; at some bigger neighborhood it might stop much later.

You can find almost anything here; but of course the biggest attraction is always the food....

For friends outside of Malaysia, I could recommend a few unique types of food to eat, but at the moment i can only think of 'Roti John'...
