Viva Vino!

2008.03.08
Arbor Crest Winery, Spokane, WA. This was our first stop. It was perched high on top of a mountain overlooking the valley of Spokane. Beautiful! The wine was amazing as well. I walked away with a bottle of Sangiovese. Yum!

Arbor Crest Winery

Although the greenery was scarce, this wall of ivy gave the place a look of elegance.

Maggie and her husband Tony.

This little bridge connected the main house to a little patio at the edge of the cliff. The sun was high at this point and I wasn't delighted with the angle of light....but it was still beautiful.

Looking down...and down....and down. This cliff was steep!

Awaiting the summer.

I had the pleasure of exploring the vineyards in the Greater Spokane area in Washington this weekend. (A huge perk of the travelling job!) Of course we weren't there in peak grape season - they are harvested in the fall - but we still had beautiful scenery and delicious wine!

Our second stop was at the Townshend Winery in Colbert, WA. I didn't snap as many photos here....because alcohol and nice cameras are never a good combination. I found a very yummy Chardonay at this stop and can't wait to sample it. Tomorrow I will post our downtown Spokane vino visit.

mar22 I love this set... is it just me or does anyone else see a face in the rocks on the bridge set? I see it far right hand side about three quarters of the way down...
