These are a few photos of the storm that came into Grand Haven when I was back home. It hit around 3:30pm and you can tell how dark it became afterwards. Summer time on the lake brings unpredictable weather. It can get really scary too. My mom and I were home alone and I'd NEVER seen it get so dark and windy. The pines in our back yard were bending like they were made of rubber. We actually grabbed Sasha (off the refrigerator) and made for the basement to wait it out. Thankfully we survived without any damage to the house and yard. After it passed we jumped in our car to drive around and look at the damage...we felt like little old women snooping around town!

Great shots Megan, sounds like a freaky storm though. Some people are just crazy... and your comments on the second photo made me laugh to myself hehe
Glad that you guys were all right - some of the storms have been really crazy lately. When we moved to Michigan someone told me, "if you don't like the weather just wait 10 minutes" - that's how it's been all summer!
