What We Have Lost

2007.01.09

These are shots from yesterday at Valley Forge. The first shot is of the Valley Forge National Memorial Arch. With the flag being at half staff, it had some added significance to me. The last three were of deer I saw there. There is a massive deer population in the park due to all of the developing in the surrounding areas. As a kid, I almost never saw deer in the park. Now they are everywhere.

aggiechristine Wow, your first shot is a fabulous, poignant photo - love that you caught the significance of the flag at half-staff. The deer are so cute, and I especially like the soft light in the second photo.

SuperG Loss and the expection of hope played out in the words of the first glorious photo followed by some deer. Philly and deer just don't seem to be possible but it is! Where I live deer invite themselves in and steal beer out of the refrigerator. Your title tells all. Enshalah.
