The Cliffs Of Insanity

The first shot I took a while back. Let me know what you think.

The last eight shots were a little DIY I tried on my on camera flash. I don't have the funds for a secondary flash right now, so I wanted to try and make what I have better. First cut off the handle on a 1 gallon milk container. Then I cut the curved part of the handle off. I cut down the seam and then washed it. Very important to wash it. After that it slips right on to the camera. It's not a huge difference, but it is better with the home made diffuser. The shots are a little warmer and less harsh. Hope this helps some of you other photographers out there.

aggiechristine Very cool diy tip - the effect is subtle - but definitely makes a difference in the photos.

I love your "Cliffs of Insanity." How you get such amazing colors and drama in your photos is inconceivable to me.

vollenda I agree with aggiechristine. I like the colors and the perspecitive of looking up. And that it's angled.

And great, great trick. I have that problem with my d200. I'm going to try that.

????? Wow, a little non sequitor between the first picture and the last few. #1 is an excellent picture, and thanks for the great tip on the diffuser. I'll have to try that on my camera.
