I was 14 when I saw my first LIVE band and fell in love with the whole idea. Feeling the power of live music can make anyone want to get up and dance, which is something else that I love to do. Over time I met my husband, Marc, who was very involved in the music industry. Well, actually his brother was a drummer and needed someone to run lights for his band. His running lights turned into running his own production company. That’s when I met him. Later he started running sound for a local band and after time it started growing old, or we were, not sure which happened first, we left the music scene for a while. Wedding bells rung, kids came, and are growing, when I say growing I mean growing. Our oldest is 15 and he is already 6 foot 2. His current girlfriend is a Jackson guitar, she never leaves his side. Our youngest is 9 and starting to show an interest in the drums and maybe vocals. The dining room table has since made way for the drum kit, but I wouldn't change a thing.
We started missing the music scene and thought we would catch a few bands, but it was hard to find where the bands were playing. Back in the day you would grab a Scene Magazine to find info about what was happening in the Cleveland area, sadly this isn't so anymore. That is when we decided to launch MUSICCLEVELAND.COM. A place where the bands could list their schedules, their bio, and get some great info. We soon realized we needed photos to make the site more interesting. Not owning a camera and not wanting to hire anyone, in Feb 2009 I went camera shopping. I wanted something that I could get great photos with but nothing real expensive so I choose the Nikon D40 and fell in love with it. I now have all the things I love, my husband, my 2 boys, music and now the camera. I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I do. After a while a shooting the live music scene I’ve started getting inquries about selling them so I’ve started this site. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
