I was in Austin earlier this week for a short trip to visit with some friends. We did the usual Austin things (Barton Springs) and went to the usual Austin restaurants, which are all things that I miss now that I don't live there (not enough to move back, though). This time we went to the Botanical Gardens which are across the street from Zilker Park and Barton Springs.
The gardens were a little dried up and the plants looked thirsty since we haven't had very much rain so far this summer. The gardens were still nice and you could see a nice panorama of the skyline from one of the many vantage points. Also at the gardens were an old schoolhouse and this very old Swedish cabin.
Happy 4th of July!

So You had Independenceday 4th 7. Finland's Independenceday is 6.12. Immigrants history is very interesting and the historical places are nice to visit. I'm on summer holidays now 4 weeks. It is a nice break in very stressfull work in nursery home. This summer has been very cold and rainy. But what ever, I'm going to sleep a lot in the mornings and then we are going to visit many places near and far away. SUNNY SUMMERDAYS TO YOU TOO !!!!!!
