St. Stephens

St. Stephens (without an apostrophe) is a little Catholic church on the Wind River Indian Reservation. It has special meaning to me, as a rosary was said there for my mother after she passed away almost 4 years ago. It's really very beautiful, outside and in - all the motifs are Native American: the altar is a drum, the stations of the cross are represented by Native Americans, halos are depicted as a bird's wings. I traveled to Arapahoe today for a meeting and made a special stop at the church for this photograph.
