Thanksgiving

In the United States, the fourth Thursday of November is set aside as Thanksgiving. In my family we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on television while the turkey is roasting, and sit down to the feast around 2:00 in the afternoon. Although a lot of attention is given to the food, the real purpose of the holiday is to consciously reflect on the things for which you're thankful.

I'm thankful for all the usual things - my family (first and foremost), the health and safety of my loved ones, my wonderful job, and living in this country. This year, I'm also thankful for having the opportunity to participate in this photoblog and meet all types of interesting photo enthusiasts from around the world.
