The beginning of Red Canyon lies 12 miles south of Lander. It is glorious in any season, but especially in the spring.
While taking these photos, Cory almost stepped on a rattlesnake (I've never seen her run so fast, and she didn't even call out a warning to me!), and we also came across a 5-foot long bull snake (harmless, but rather intimidating).
