Thank you for your mail. I am very impressed with your photos.
Yes, waste disposal and recycling have to be a priority in industrial societies. And there are different "solutions"...
Here in Switzerland there is a very strong recycling mentality, but that is not difficult, as the country is so small. But, every houshold has to pay for expensive official plastic bags for everyday waste. And there are many, many recycling metal boxes (you can see photos from train stastions in my flickr pages). If you have furniture, there is a place to take it, if it is old. Elelctric appliances, televisions, sound, etc. can be taken back to stores, who are obliged to take them back.
In spring I visited the metal recycling factory in Switzerland, but the digital images could not be used.
