Black Tartarian or Black Republican? Are they the same? Plaque says one thing you say another! At any rate, I have a few tartarian cherry trees but only about 18 years old and they look like bushes. Nice to know they can live for a while and be so beautiful. The cherries that follow are rather small on mine but they make good jelly. You are right, it does look truly spectacular!
